During the URMED internship, students are introduced to a variety of clinical and healthcare practices at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center and other area rural hospitals.
Digital Media Program Receives Grant$1 million gift upgrades the department’s media equipment.
The new equipment was installed in early fall and replaced the department’s University Cable Network (UCN) Studios’ analog television and video equipment with digital technology.
Student Attends International ConferenceDerek Simonsen was selected among only a handful to present research.
Simonsen began research for his presentation entitled "Evidence of DDT Resuspension Through Dredging of a Midwest Agricultural Lake System" in 2014 with the support of Dr. Melinda Coogan, associate professor of biology. "It was nice to see that several years of work finally paid off and that I got to be a part of this great experience," said Simonsen.
